Statut

DR - CNRS

Thématiques de recherche

My research topics revolve around the elucidation of the biogenesis mechanism of ribonucleoproteins (RNPs) under normal conditions, its adaptation to stressful situations, and its role in pathologies.
The working model used is the box C/D and H/ACA snoRNPs in order to understand the structure-function relationships of these RNA-protein macrocomplexes.
The structural techniques used are Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and, more recently, cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM).

Responsabilités

– Co-leader of RNA/P team and leader of the Integrative Structural Biology Group
– Scientific manager of the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) platform and the cryo-EM core
facilities (SMP IBSLor)
– Deputy director of the UL’s Biology, Medicine and Health (BMS) scientific pole
– Director or co-director of 5 PhD students and 4 post-doctoral fellows

Doctorant(s) encadré(s) :
Marie As ; Elisa Vicq
Projets

– Deciphering the early steps in the H/ACA RNP assembly (ANR-PRC HACA)
– Assembly of macromolecular complexes by the HSP90/R2TP chaperone (ANR-PRC YMCR)
– Towards improved cross-linking mass spectrometry methods to decipher protein-nucleic acid interactions (ANR-PRC NAProt-XLMS)
– Target R2TP and R2TP-like chaperone complexes to identify drug candidates (IRP)
